On Thursday 15^th September 2022, Year 5 and 6 had a visit from Brian from Debt Aware, a financial charity who provide sessions in school that teach children all about ‘money skills for life’. The sessions will run every term so we’re looking forward to our sessions in Spring and Summer already!

The modules we’ll cover are:

Module 1 – Wants and Needs

Module 2 – Budgeting

Module 3 – Methods of Payments and Savings

Module 4 – Borrowing (Financial Risk)

Module 5 – World of Work (WOW)

Module 6 – Enterprise (Financial Risk)

We think these are really important for the children to know in order to grow up in an ever-changing world and these key lessons will provide our current Year 5 and 6 children with lots of knowledge and skills to help them manage money in the future.
