Y6 – Homework
Homework is set on a Friday and needs to be handed in the following Wednesday. However, children can bring this in early is they have already completed it.
Completing homework by the deadline is important as it is prepares us well for high school (where we will no doubt receive a lot more homework!) and also enables us to be independent and take control of our time and school work. Homework activities vary but are mainly based on TTRS, Grammar, Reading or revising Maths topics.
Each week, children will be expected to compete the following activities at home:
- 20 minutes TTRS
- 3 detailed comments in reading record
- The ‘But imagine if…’ side of the reading record
- Practise spellings
- Complete homework book (this will be either Maths, Grammar or Reading)
