English – Visits And Visitors

Key Stage One had a visit from the local author Sean Perkins, who brought along his feline characters, Oscar and Ben. The rhyming stories were loved by all the children and we enjoyed joining in with the rhymes.

He read his new story and sang some songs and we all had a fabulous time! The stories are available to order from school as well as on Sean’s website which is on the photograph below.

Week beginning 31st October 2022

The Reception parents were invited into school to take part in a phonics session with their child. This was a great way for parents to see how we teach phonics as well as coming into school to work with their child. The children were so grown up and enjoyed having relatives in for phonics!

Pre-School to Year 6 have had an AMAZING week of all things poetry with a Julia Donaldson theme! The English Ambassadors planned the week (see below) and we all had a fantastic time reading, writing and performing to one another.
