Yew – Reading
Regular reading at home continues to be the major part of children’s homework. Although some children may be reading fluently and independently, it is essential that they continue to develop their comprehension skills through reading and discussing their books with adults.
It is the children’s responsibility to change their reading books when they need to, although we encourage quality reading rather than quantity, and levels will be changed when children are ready rather than after reading a set number of books.
